I had salmon soup for lunch, and coffee for dessert.
I went to visit the local art museum. There were mostly metal sculptures, but I also liked the basic exhibition about a local celebrity named Kimmo Pyykkö.
Later the day I went to the natatorium, I managed to swim for 100 meters and then I was out of breath. I wish I could swim for a longer time.
I took a proper shower, and then I went back to grandmother’s. She had cooked porridge from lingonberries.
I managed to finish knitting one quilt square, so I started on another. I talked on the phone with Suavecita, chatted with Evi, composed lists and wrote into my diary, and watched TV with grandmother.
For dinner we had butter- fried fish, boiled potatoes, and boiled eggs, and for dessert I got savoury fudge ice cream.
Tomorrow I will return to the metropolitan area; my Greyhound bus will leave at half past seven o’clock in the morning, it will be a two- and- half hour trip. I had set my alarm clock to ring at six o’clock in the morning.
I will also receive money, so I need to go to the nearest bank to withdraw the cash, and do some intensive shopping.
I need to buy birthday- and name- day cards for the next two months, and also a Father’s Day card, and about twenty first- class postage stamps. I need new clothes, like a pair of winter gloves, sports socks, and a new dress from Monki before they are sold out. I also need to stock up on hygiene products, for both personal and domestic use. I also need to buy the decorations and treats for the Halloween party I am hosting in my home on Saturday. I am also going to buy more prescription medicine.
I might also go visit my parents, since it is Friday. I go visit them on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
I’m glad that my home is tidy and clean enough, because I gave it a good scrubbing before I left. And since I have been gone most of the week, I don’t have to clean it up again.
