I got up about at half past one o’clock in the afternoon, threw on some clothes and took my morning medicine and turned on my laptop to surf on the Internet.
Just so that today wouldn’t be completely wasted, I called my mom and asked her if I can come over. She said it’s okay. I took my new diary and my knitting along.
I took the bus 571 to Raappavuori, mom was home. I ate some chocolates, drank orange juice and coffee, and mom gave me the last piece of blue cheese to eat.
I also took a shower, washed my face, hair, and body, anointed it with basic lotion and noticed that the skin on my legs has started itching again; there are small bumps, like mosquito bites, where I have scratched them. I better consult a doctor about how to make the itching stop. My scalp also itches a lot, there are small scabs on where I have scratched it.
I accompanied mom when she went grocery shopping, it felt good to breathe crisp and chilly winter air. Mom gave me 20 euros for New Year, hugged me and wished me a happy new year.
I walked to Martinlaakso bus station and took the bus 565 to Myyrmäki. Once there, I visited Citymarket to buy some treats.
I desperately wanted to buy something, like knitting yarn, gifts for my friends, or an article of clothing or a piece of jewellery or some of the figurines I want from the toy shop. I didn’t feel like wasting my money, so I went back home.
I spent the rest of the year knitting and managed to finish the first stripe of the scarf. I watched Supernatural on Netflix and managed to make it to the episode “Asylum”. I love watching psychiatric wards described in movies and such, since I have spent a couple of years of my life in a mental ward.
