I was rudely woken up by two phone calls, one from my occupational therapist and one from an ASPA worker.
After finally convincing myself that it was worth it to get up from my bed, I managed to get my feet on the floor. I took my morning medicine, put on some lip balm, and put on my pink Dirndl dress with a grey Ramones shirt over it. I didn’t bother with having a wash, considering that it was so late in the afternoon.
I drank coffee, read some books, wrote into my diary, and threw tantrums because I was feeling moody and the delusions were bothering me.
Later the day I felt sick of staying inside all day, so I decided to go for an urbane adventure. That way I could feel a sense of accomplishment, instead of feeling morose about wasting this day.
It was grey and rainy outside, and a tad bit chilly.
I took the bus %&= to Mellu’s Hill, then a subway to the Helsinki city center, and visited Cybershop in the Central Railway station. They didn’t have those Killer Cat hoodies, the ones with cat ears on the hood, anymore but I knew they would have them back in their selection once the warm season is over.
Then I went to Forum shopping center and visited Hennes & Mauritz, I was looking for key rings to my backpack and I found one, decorated with seashells.
I also visited Glitter and Butterick’s, then I went to the UFF thrift shop in Freda. They still had the retroesque brown apron, that could easily be mended into a skirt. I could buy it later (that is, when I can afford it) and take it to the dressmaker where I frequent, and ask them to mend it.
I took the bus ¤!! back to Myyr York, once there it was already eight o’clock in the evening which meant that all the clothing shops in Myyrmanni shopping center were closed, so I went back home.
I made a couple of sandwiches and drank a glass of milk. I spent the evening looking at Finnish comic blogs.
I did a peculiar thing; I managed to wash about two weeks’ worth of dirty dishes, even if I felt delusional and moody. I also managed to do all the evening routines; brush my interdentals and then my teeth, and use mouthwash. I also took a cold shower because I was feeling hot and bothered and uncomfortable, and then I washed my face and underbelly and then anointed my body with basic lotion.
I also a small load of laundry simply because I was out of clean underwear.
I know that you aren’t supposed to wash laundry while taking a shower or bath because you might get an electric shock, but I have done that plenty of times and never have gotten a shock.
I was actually proud of myself, I managed to wash laundry, dishes, and myself, after I simply realized that there’s no point in being all “meeeehhhh, I don’t wannaaaaah…” about things, you just have to do the things you, well, have to do.
This morning I woke up at midday when my mother called me and inquired me whether I am coming over or not. I took this as a sign to get up and get going; we have both agreed that I visit her every Tuesday and Friday about at midday, when usually I am asleep at that time
I took my morning medicine and dressed up, then I checked the bus timetables.
I took the bus %&% to my parents’ home, mom was there. We had coffee, and I ate cinnamon rolls and feta cheese and strawberries.
Later the day we took the same bus to Myyr York, and went to Myyrmanni shopping center. We went to Cubus, a clothing shop, where she bought me an olive green lacy brassiere, a pair of black leggings, and a grey tricot blouse.
Then we went to Citymarket, where mom bought me a liter of milk and a chocolate bar, and gave me 20 euros “household money”.
After she left, I took my new belongings home and washed a load of laundry, and took a shower.
I went back to Myyrmanni shopping center and visited Citymarket to buy toothpaste, interdental brushes, lip balm, toilet cleaner, and a packet of those sponge cloths that you use to wipe down your kitchen counter.
Once back home, I scrubbed the toilet bowl, had a little coffee, and then it was time to go to the youth group in Myöhätuuli.
I took a bus to Nut Hill, but once in the Myöhätuuli office, what do you know, it was closed. I tried to be Zen about it, and I knew it was closed for the summer holidays.
I didn’t let it bother me, so I decided to go to Helsinki for the rest of the day.
I took a bus to Stick City, by then I decided to go back home. I took the same bus to Myyr York, and once back home I had a little coffee and wrote into my diary.
Later the day I visited Myyrmanni shopping center again, to look at all the gorgeous stuff I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford in a million years.
Once back in my home yard, I sat on a bench and wrote into my diary. Then I went back home, and soon it was time to take my evening medicine and have a wash.
Tomorrow I will receive money, but it will all go to bills and whatnot. If I am awake early enough, I will go to the bread line in Martin’s Valley. And considering that I won’t spend the entire day shopping, I will go to the natatorium in the same valley.
