Baby, it's cold outside

Today I woke up when my doorbell rang, I knew it was the janitor coming to fix my jammed balcony door.
He fumbled with the door handle for a moment, and then gave me the phone number of the local locksmith.
I might call them tomorrow and ask about how am I going to pay, do I have to pay with cash during the visit or can they send a bill afterwards? Fortunately I can go to the balcony through the screen window. It’s only a slight inconvenience, I’m all Zen now.

I went back to bed and had a dream where I travelled through time and space, another dream where I watched the movie Tank Girlwent to a café to eat yoghurt, and then I woke up with the sweet taste of yoghurt on my tongue.

I was thinking of whether I should get up after all; I was already in a bad mood, and I knew that I would have nothing to do today, except go to the gym.

I got up anyway. I took my morning medicine, dabbed basic lotion on my face, and dressed up, and had lingonberry porridge for breakfast.

When I went out for some errands, it was terribly, horribly cold outside, like in Siberia.
I went to the social office to drop off my broadband bill and home insurance bill, and I was told that there has been some hassle in the social office during the changing of the year. I should have suspected that.

I also went to the psychiatric clinic to drop off my Solian prescription paper, and asked the receptionist to tell the doctor to renew the special permission for using the medicine.

I was thinking of going to an art museum in Helsinki, but because it was so bitterly cold that it sucked out all my will to live, I decided to go see my mom and ask her for some extra allowance.

After calling her and making sure that it’s okay that I come over and will she pretty pretty please gimme money, I caught a bus to my parents’ home.

Mom gave me 20 euros, the usual amount. I ate cinnamon rolls and green grapes and feta cheese and drank two mugs of coffee.

Later the day I took a bus back to my own hometown, and went to the stationery shop to buy a notebook with a picture of a circus on the front cover; I chose it from the other designs because my sweet amazing friend Zoya has introduced me to the circus/sideshow culture when she introduced me to the TV show American Horror Story: Freak Show.
I also bought a black magic ink pen, I am running out of magic ink pens again.

I went to the department store and bought a gift for Zoya, and some groceries.
I went home, and decided not to go to the gym today, it’s cold enough to freeze my urine into my bladder and besides, it was getting late. I wanted to have a quiet evening at home.

Once home, I warmed myself a can of soup, wrapped up the gifts, re- arranged some stuff.

Tomorrow I have to do the weekly housework. The first thing to do is to replace the towels, strip my bed of sheets and wash them with the towels, and then put my mattress, blanket, and pillow to the balcony for the day.
I also need to swab the kitchen counter, writing desk, and nightstand, scrub the bathroom, hoover and mop the floor, take out the trash and recycling… I am also going to visit my mother, I have to bring her the two knitted quilt squares.
