(no subject)

Usually when I go to bed, I take along my laptop, my knitting, my diary and a magic ink pen, my teddy bear, a big bar of chocolate, and something to read. Right now I am reading the book Damned by Chuck Palahniuk, I have read the Finnish translation as well.

Speaking of going to bed, one of the best feelings in the world is putting on a clean nightie that still has that lingering sweetish scent of thrift shop, and go to bed that has been dressed in clean linen.

I have decided to start reading books in the evenings after going to bed, because it’s one way getting my thoughts somewhere else. Usually I feel very sad and morose in the evenings, kind of weltenschmerz.

I tuned on Netflix and watched the movie Eurotrip, it’s surprisingly good for being such a “not another teen movie”, my favorite scene was the one with the soccer hooligans.
I also watched the Doctor Who episode Lodger, and I loved the scene with references to the old Doctors.
I also watched a bit of The Pandorica Opens, another episode of the aforementioned show. I love River Song so much, she is so sassy and gorgeous and amazing! I love her 80’s curly hair and her sardonic attitude.

I didn’t feel like sleeping despite that I had taken my evening medicine at nine o’clock yesterday evening.

I finally managed to fall asleep, and I had a dream where I hung out with a group of friends. One of them was the 11th Doctor, I desperately tried to make an impression on him. I decided to break into a vault that contained a box of the best chocolates in the universe, but I was attacked by an entity that looked like Novice Hame, the catperson who is also a nun, she had claws like Slitheen and she could only move when I didn’t look at her, kind of like a Weeping Angel.

I woke up with a start, and for a moment all I saw was a trillion of squiggly lines dancing in front of my eyes. I decided to take a hot shower, to calm myself down because I felt like I had had a nightmare.

I went back to bed and slept some more, until I finally got up, took my morning medicine, brushed my teeth and put on the blue flowery shirt I had bought from the new thrift shop in the shopping center, and my beloved tartan skirt.

I felt so hungry that the gnawing pain radiated to my shoulders. I decided to go visit Myyrmanni and buy myself a bottle of iced coffee. I didn’t feel like eating, I have a notoriously bad appetite, but I have noticed that coffee usually decreases the feeling of hunger in me. And what do you know, right after buying the coffee the pain had disappeared.

I went home and spent some time knitting, then I went to the psychiatric clinic where me and my occupational therapist were supposed to have an appointment.
We had agreed to make pancakes today, cookery is a part of the occupational therapy.
She googled a recipe and printed it out, then we went to the kitchen to see if we had all the ingredients; eggs, milk, sugar, salt, flour, and margarine. The eggs and milk had gone bad, so we went to S- Market to buy some.

We had a good time, and I managed to make perfect pancakes even if the dough only managed to produce three of them.

After the appointment, I went home. I knitted and wrote into my diary, and also looked at YouTube videos of the fourth Doctor.

Later the day I called my mom and told her I am coming over to see her, I took the bus 574 to Raappavuori.
I ate feta cheese and drank orange juice, and later the day I had to leave to make it to the Myöhätuuli hobby group.
I took the bus 571 to Pähkinärinne, on my way there my friend Pinky called me and asked if I wanted to go with her to the swim hall today. I said yes.

In the group, there were surprisingly many attendees. They were going to bake pizza, I just drank cocoa and coffee and wrote into my diary.

Later the evening I went back home, and later went to the swim hall to meet Pinky. We had agreed to meet there at half past six in the evening.

I saw a pregnant woman in the shower room, I could barely control myself from going all “omfg I love your cute baby belly!” I know that many pregnant women don’t like it, but I can’t help the fact that pregnant women look so adorable.

First we went to the Jacuzzi, it’s pool- sized so there were plenty of swimmers at once.
There was this small girl in Anna & Elsa swimsuit who kept on doing deep dives, and every time she looked at me and smiled widely as if she wanted to make an impression on me. I smiled back at her.

We also went to another pool and swam a couple of times from the end to back, and I was surprised at how quickly I swam and how easy it felt. Anyway, it took my breath away so I didn’t feel like swimming back, so I just waited for Pinky to come back.

We went to the sauna, talked about stuff and things and told jokes and laughed, and then we dried ourselves and went away.

Once back home, I watched the movie Judge Dredd, the 90’s version starring Sylvester Stallone, on Netflix. I have also been thinking about watching The English Patient and George of the Jungle.
