Godspeed, my man

I woke up this morning feeling content and happy. I had had pretty nice dreams.
I got up, took my morning medicine, had a wash, dressed into the kind of clothes that pass mom- inspection; a pair of simple black trousers and a t- shirt; and had the first coffee of the morning.

I went to see my mom today. Usually I don’t visit her on Thursdays, but today was an exception because it’s a bank holiday (the Ascension Day, also known as “helatorstai” is a bank holiday in Finland) and today the ninth president of Finland, Mauno Koivisto, was buried, so we went to see the funeral progression together.

I took a bus to my parents’ home. Me and mom had coffee, and then we left.
We took a bus to the nearest station, and then a train to Helsinki.

Once in Helsinki, we walked to the church, and stood there until the funeral progression had left.
I had to dab some sun protection lotion on my neck, so it wouldn’t get sunburnt; my neck is always the first part of my body to get sunburnt.
We went to the nearest café, where we had coffee and shared a slice of carrot cake. I nommed the blackberry on top of it.

We went to visit this Finnish design shop, and then we took a train to my home town where we went to the department store. Mom bought me a pair of sneakers and a ball of knitting yarn.
The sneakers are pink, purple, and orange, and the knitting yarn has white, orange, red and dark red stripes. Mom also taught me a new method of knitting, I am going to try that.

We also went to the pharmacy, where mom bought me a bottle of basic lotion.
We took a bus back to my parents’ home. Later the day, dad came home as well.

Later the day I packed my stuff, and went back to my own home on a bus. I stopped by at the supermarket to buy a birthday card for Riga.

Once back home, I drank coffee and surfed on the Internet. I should have hoovered the floor and gone to the gym, but I was more interested in drinking coffee and scrolling through my Tumblr dashboard.

I took out the trash, and re- arranged my belongings.

In the evening I called Suavecita, we had a nice talk. We agreed to meet during the weekend when we go visit the World Village festival with Eleclya and Mirette.

I felt a bit unhappy, even if I had no reason to be unhappy. It’s just my moods.

Tomorrow I will start doing the weekly housework. My H&O worker will visit me at half past one o’clock, I will wash the dishes and iron the laundry during the visit. Then I will go see my mother. In the evening, I will go to this BBQ at Riga’s home yard, and give her the birthday card.
